Dear Jass Singh ji, Preet Mohan Singh ji, and Sukhraj Singh Dogra ji,
Sat Nam. In the Name of Wahe Guru, the essence of every being and the inspiration of every Sikh.

I believe I may be repeating myself to say that I am very happy to see this honest and open discussion going on. For one thing, I am not familiar with Daljeet Singh's writings. I will seek them out. If there are any in particular that you would recommend, I'd appreciate that information.

I have a very few moments right now, but I would like to offer a couple of brief observations.

1) In response to Sukhraj Singh Dogra's question, "What is all this analysis good for?", I would offer that analysis is good to demonstrate and reveal the ultimate impotency of analysis (and the impotency of the ordinary, dualistic mind) to reach ultimate Truth. Therefore, Guru's way, by the Grace of the Guru, is the only way to reach realization of the infinite reality known as Wahe Guru. There is a stage in the development of human knowledge, where the discursive human mind begins to believe it is capable of ultimate truth, that is where it becomes an ego problem. Appropriate analysis is a good way to deflate that supposition, and restore an intelligent orientation toward a truly qualified source of Truth (ie., the Guru). This in itself is not a small issue. The human mind has a naive tendency to accept sense objects and its own discursive thoughts as inherently real, meaningful and truthful. Guru clearly says this form of experience is Maya, it is conditioned and "shot through" with unreality and ill
usion. Following the ordinary mind into Maya is a trap which robs us of the time and opportunity to take a different path, via Nam Simran and Guru's Grace, into eventual, experiential realization of Wahe Guru. That is what everything about Dharma is meant to give us and bring us to (as well as to serve and protect others so that all may have the same opportunity, at their own time and choosing). So, I'm saying that honest, reflective analysis can show us what we DON'T know, to allow us to redirect ourselves accordingly.

I apologize, my time is up for now. I hope to enjoy the opportunity to communicate and hear more from you all soon. Thank you.

Humbly,
Krishna Singh Khalsa

ps. Jass Singh ji, I wanted to comment on your statement about divine "Will." The use of the term may raise conceptual problems, but isn't it interesting to look at how Guru Nanak uses the term "Hukam" in the very first pauri of Japji Sahib? Hukam, as a command or order, seems to be quite synonymous with the idea of "Will," whether it is "personal" or not. How do you regard that? regards, ksk
