| In all honesty, I hardly think that people will begin to blame the Sikh community for this man's actions. He was like any of the other shooters. Since the school shootings began as a more common trend in the mid-90s, shooters have been white, black, mexican, and everything in between. It isnt a race issue, but more of the upbringing in a society that has counter-cultures that encourage not only being different, but being violently rebelious. I have met peaceful Gothic people--they usually keep to themselves. But just like there are wannabe gangsters/hoodlems who join gangs and harm others after listening to rap music, there are violent Goths who take the blood and dark culture too serious. Its an occasional bad apple that tarnishes a whole group. It isnt a problem of religion, but of a personality and individuality. Regards, Roman |
