| I'm not sure if this post was directed at me, however I'd like to respond. Like I said, if there is good reason to eat from iron than go ahead. I was always told that the best kara, kirpan, and dishware is stainless steel. My point however, was that our Gurus did not teach that eating from iron is the only way. Yet they taught truthful living. Personally, I don't find it difficult to be a Sikh. I learned from the Guru that God is with me at all times. This keeps me in cherdi kala. Also, I don't pick and choose 'the rules'. I follow the rules laid by Guru Nanak through Guru Gobind Singh. Guru Gobind Singh didn't say "wear the five k's and eat only from iron". Mohamed, however, said "fast during ramadan", so if you like lifestyle restrictions, like eating from iron and fasting, then maybe you should look into another faith. As far as I'm concerned the rules aren't strict, they're completely natural. We don't live with lifestyle restrictions, we live with lifestyle enhancers.
