Sat Sri Akal: This tradition of Sarbloh (eating and cooking in Iron Wares) is usually carried out be prominently two schools: The Nihangs and the Akhand Kirtani Jatha (AKJ). They reason by way of some Rehat Namas of olden Sikhs. The AKJ also follows this tradition because their founder, Bhai Randhir Singh also followed the tradition. You may ask this question at www.akj.org Message board, but I warn you, it will be a LONG debate if it gets rolling (or it may be ended with a frank "This has been discussed before"). M. Singh |
