| I respect Sher Dil's view but i think he need to read granth sahib properly. His views have influence of other books/ translations rather than direct view of guru. Sikhism doesn't rejects views of avtaar, swarg, narak etc. There's no place where guru have said "oh they're non-existant". But yes they've mentioned it in many places that all these things are under spell of maya. Anything which is subject to maya can't be god. In hinduism most people in that time , even today focus their prayers on avtaars. Then muslims on the other hand focus their prayer on allah but at same time want heavens after death. Sikhism rejected this duality and makes it clear that prayer should be for akaal purukh only and nothing else and asking for anything itself is like hell. If you dont understand this subtle difference you can keep arguing falsifying other faiths to make your point. ============================================= Means to explain something we have to use a certain medium to make people understand in their language. Guru sahib again has used "yugs" as analogous to explain the meaning of Shabad. You can the Yugs are merely the stage of our mind. In the Brass Age of Dwaapur Yuga, You were Krishna; You killed Mur the demon and saved Kans. ugarsain ka-o raaj abhai bhagtah jan dee-o. You blessed Ugrasain with a kingdom, and You blessed Your humble devotees with fearlessness. kalijug parmaan naanak gur angad amar kahaa-i-o. In the Iron Age, the Dark Age of Kali Yuga, You are known and accepted as Guru Nanak, Guru Angad and Guru Amar Das. ----------------------------------- I would also ask you to read bani of guru nanak - Dakhanni Onkar.
