"Chakor is a bird (partridge family)that, according to what I have heard, loves with moon light and keeps staring at the moon all night, even when its neck gets twisted." Wow! "There is another bird that only drinks pure rain water. I can't remember the name of this bird. If someone does know what I am talking about, maybe they can help us understand." This bird is called Paapeehaa. Some call it Bhaapeehaa. In GGSJ it is referred to as Chaatrik as well. Its thirst is quenched only by a particular type of raindrop.... so I have heard.....I think the bird has a hole in its beak so its head and beak has to be pointing up towards the rain as it falls.... I am sure some of the more knowledgeable folks of GGSJ could give us a few quotes .
