Question: Traditional Sikh Prayer Before Meals
Posted by Krishna S. Khalsa on Monday, 5/31/1999 2:36 PM MDT
Dear Members of the Sikhnet Discussion Forum, A young correspondent to the Sikhnet Youth Forum has asked if anyone can provide him with the prayer that he says Sikhs have traditionally offered before eating. He has requested to have the prayer in both Gurmukhi (or transliterated) and English. Can anyone provide this information? If the prayer is from Siri Guru Granth Sahib, or the Amrit Kirtan collection of Shabads, please provide page references if you can. Thank you, Krishna Singh Khalsa A Sikhnet Youth Forum Moderator |
