| jasjit ji ssa nmskar brother you said that it is a misquote. complete line is like this kayan kardar aurat jakina,rang tamasay maan hakina napak pak kar hadur hadisa sabat surat dastar sira the whole shabad is about more than a full page and it is a exhortation to a musalman pir who thought that by keeping external form of religion including turban and hair or performing any physical austerities would make a musalman perfect. in this shabad guru arjen dev ji exposed the futility of all these traditions and rituals and adviced him ,how to become a pure human being. now you said that it is not for sikhs but for musalman . my dear brother 90% ggs bani was adressed either to hindu or musalman and it all those exhortations were for hindu muslims than why we have gurbani our guru. then from where should sikhs seek guidence. and other thing if my father tells my elder brother,son do not lie,do not usuerp,do not practice guile and malice ,do not be a imposter or a masquaredar. then you advice me brother that, should i take any heed of thse valueable words or i could absolve myself by saying that it was for my brother ,not for me a nice way to elude. brother everyword of gurbani is for sikhs. and all the traits i posted before to be a perfect sikh what do you advice that sikh should not develop and attain. it is not a misquote by me rather most of the turban advocates misquote it in favour of turban,where as this shabad is against all those symbols,garb and outwordly physical traditions and rituals.
