Pritam Singh ji: You feel that Sikhs JUDGE people based on the fact whether someone keeps hair or not. In other words, people who don't keep hair are not acceptable to us. This implies that 20 million Sikhs consider approximately 6 billion humans as infidels. This is your line of thought not our's. A community that considers mankind equal does not believe in putting labels. However, to be a 'complete' Sikh one needs to possess the external and internal identity. Some of us possess the external but lack the internal whereas some others feel that they have the internal but would do away with the external. In both cases we do not qualify to be called complete Sikhs. You also feel that losing the turban builds self-esteem. The turban helps us 'stand-out'. It adds to the personality. Self-hatred, for whatever reason is what adds to low self-esteem. About Gurbani supporting certain things, I think I have already answerd that in one of my posts to Mr. Jus Singh. One last thought. Pritam Singh ji, writing long messages does not mean much if the contents of the message are flawed. Some others on the Sikhnet do the same. It's the quality of the message that counts. Not the length. Regards |
