THere seems to be this intente debate raging on about the kesh, but I still havent seem to have gotten a concrete reason why its soo wrong for
a Sikh to shave hair from their body...

I fail to see how doing that makes a person less spiritual, how it makes them less healtier, or how it makes them less of a "Sikh."
the straight answer is that there is no difference what so ever ,having long unshorn hair or a shaved head on person's religious life, meditation, health and thinking.
in gurbani kesh has no special value attached to be more meditatvie and healthy than the shaved head,
gurbani only emphasize on the inner state of being if you are pure inside you must be pure outside, but nor the other awy around,as someone is stressing that a sikh should have both external and internal identity,
but the beauty of sikhi is only to expose those kind of religious person who only claims to be a true religious by just focusing on outwordly appearence and identity.gurbani does not support this and on the contrary fight against this kind of behavior anf thinking.
gurbani says to have a complete union with almighty,it does not matter who you are keshadari or shaved head, but what is your intutive state of mind.
KABIRA EK SEON PREET KAR AAN DUBIDA JAAY
BHAWAYN LAMBAY kes KAR BHAWAYN GHARAR MUNAAY.
MEANS KES(long hair) and gharar means (shaved head)
other thing in gurbani the value of kes is equavalent to a bale of grass nothing more than this .
kes jalay jesay ghas ka pula
haad jalay jasay lakri ka chula.
sandeep ji it is suffice to say that in sikhi there is no importance atALL given or attributed to any part of the body .but only to the inner being
but the problem is that anyone who would interprate gurbani these days ,he/she would interprate gurbani thru his/her belief, not to use gurbani as a touch stone to varify that does my beliefs are in conformity and pertitent with gurbani.
i again repeat this that kes does not make a man perfect in the field of religion and in sikhi of our ten guru,on one had ever ordered his sikhs that if you would grow long hair you would be nearer to guru or god
but only you would be judged by your deeds not your external outlook.
bhai gurdas says
jay paeeay tirath nathyan, dadan jal vasi
jay mileeay bhasam lagayan, khar kheh palasy
JAY MILEEAY VAAL(kes)VADHAYAN jar bohar palasy
the simple meaning that none of our outer deeds what so ever have no bearing upon, to be a religious person.
by just keeping long hair if someone would think that he has more chance to have union with guru or god then bhai gurdas exhorts that then you should look at the bohar tree(ficus tree) has way long hairy branches than a hairy person, then that tree has a more bigger chance than you.
so do not be confused yourself that a hairy sikh is more healthier, meditative and religious than a shaved sikh.
there is no such division exists in gurbani and had never been existed in the lives of our ten gurus,
have any other confusion please do not hesitate to express.
TURK TRIKAT JANYAY HINDU VED PURAN
MAAN SAMJAWAN KARNAY KICHU KU PARYAY GYAN
with love
