Wah-e-Guruji ka Khalsa,Wah-e-Guruji ki Fateh.

This is fantastic. These are exactly some of my views and I was yearning to hear them from somebody else also.I think the time is ripe for a kranti or renaissance in prevalent sikhism.Sikhs have been sleeping and hence have been wronged and sidelined.
I fully agree with S.Ripudaman Singh especially

1. About gurudwara buildings:-They should be more environment friendly and build them according to the culture of that land. All gurudwaras don't have to be the same.Modern architecture can come into being. Why do all gurudwara's have to be done in the medieval style?
2. Opening sikh training parlours is a necessity because nowadays young sikhs barring punjab are mostly avoiding turbans and wearing patkas, trimming beards or going the whole way and becoming a mona.
Nowadays I learnt that sikh models are walking the ramp, but they should also experiment with new turban styles and should be encouraged for a untrimmed beard.
3. Gurbani has to be understood.Katha and pravachan is a must.Sikhs as well as non sikhs still don't know actually what is sikhism about, because nobody has any knowledge about gurbani.Giani Maskeenji is doing a very good job by roaming all over the world and giving very fine discourses on gurbani.Though gurmukhi is a must, gurbani should be translated in all local languages for it's spread.
4. Also sikhs must come in TV serials and movies is a great advertisement. But they should not be mixed up with other people especially Hindus.Nowadays the trend is catching up but they are still protrayed as a hindu family following their customs.S Ripudaman Singh is right in stating that the Golden Temple should sponser one sikh related movie every year.A sikh represents india,is famous for his heroic deeds in all fields but cannot be cast as a hero in bollywood!!
Even I will post some more points in the course of the discussion.I think everybody should follow this thread very carefully.

SatSriAkal.
