| hi aneeta, i understand what you are saying but politely disagree, in your analogy the plains should be called the "bumpy plains", the same way religion IS mat and therefore, in my opinion, we can have gurmat (bumpy plains) or sant mat (the plains), "mat" is therefore "plains" in your analogy, please dont extrapolate the one definition of religion to all faiths it is unwise, i agree with you that sikhism is a religion of a higher order but not that it is not a religion, i would rather the re-definition of the word religion to fall in line with sikh praxis than create a new word ,which is rather exclusive dont you think? this is getting boring now please feel free to correct me as you see fit.
