| Thank you Jennifer. Here is my two cents worth of what I think should be done, similar to what you said. I for one, do not accept any apologies from the radio station and I don't care how many times they continue to apologize. The correct actions from the Sikhs are the following: 1. Demand the dismissal of the two DJs from the radio station. 2. Demand a dismissal of the station owner on grounds of being incompetent to control his broadcasts in accordance with US laws 3. Demand a record of what diversity training the two DJs went through before being allowed access to the airwaves 4. Demand that the remaining DJs and all other presenters undergo diversity education and about being in America (not India) and respecting people of other faiths, before being allowed access to the microphone 5. Report the incident to the FCC (as blatant racial and religious discrimination and hate propaganda) and demand that the FCC suspend the broadcasting license of the station 6. Find out which companies or organizations are backing the station through adverts etc and urge them to boycott the station. The apology is as worthless a the one given to the Sikhs for the massacres of thousands of Sikhs in 1984, while letting the criminals (who are still alive) go free. This apology is no different. The two DJs are probably laughing away at all the "fuss" about a "sardar" joke. Hundreds of other similar radio stations will continue to degrade the Sikhs and then apologize, without feeling a pinch. I urge all the "representatives" of the Sikhs to take the above actions. This is the only way to stop other radio stations from doing the same. Please research and understand what happened to Don Imus. (See below). If he can be dismissed for some remarks about black athletes, why can't the two DJs be dismissed too? It is time to stop being nice to those who have harmed the Guru's community.
