There are many Indians there(3rd or 4th generation).Majority of them were supportive of ruling party i.e. national party that time.There was no violence there at time .It was very well contained.De klerk could have continued for another decade or so but he was a humanitarian and saw the bad side of the system and yielded. Is caste system in Hindu society not more oppressive than the aparthied regime in south africa? I think there is hardly any difference between the two.One is gone ,one is still there. |
