I am a working woman. In times of need I want to help financialy my parents, brothers and sisters. My husband who is staunch believer of Sikhism says that it against our religion. The parents shouldn't drink even water from daughter's house. All such remarks are shaking my faith in this religion

Your husbands thinking is very old culturally based and not from Sikhee.
Yes, you can and you should help your parents. Sikhee says to work and earn by the sweat of
your brow and share your earnings. If your parents are in need then it it righteous and inline with
Sikhee to assist them.
God bless you, SK
