GurSikh Speed Meeting Clicks in NY July 21, 2006

Comments Email this Article

Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh!!!

We wanted to take this opportunity to let you know that the first ever GurSikh Speed Meeting pilot conducted on April 30, 2006 in NYC was a huge success. We received over 100 emails and the support, feedback, energy, optimism, etc. that was shown prior to and at the event was incredible! People flew in from all parts of the world, Australia, Toronto, Seattle, California, etc. We were even able to dispel the urban myth that there are more Sardars than Sardarnis out there as we had more Sardarnis attend!! We are also pleased to say that no one will be getting a discount for any future event as everyone received agreed “CLICKS”!

Good relationships are built on understanding, communication and trust. We all know that only happens face-to-face. GurSikh Speed Meetings provide a way for individuals to meet with other Gursikhs one-on-one to see if there is that "CLICK".

Due to the interest shown and wonderful success of the pilot event, subsequent events targeting additional geographic regions are being organised. See the tentative 2006 schedule below. In addition, many individuals were hoping to attend the NYC pilot and due to the Big Apple energy, we are holding another meeting in NYC again on Friday, July 21st. Do not miss the opportunity! There are a limited number of seats and based on the pilot event, they do go quick, first come-first serve, so reserve your seat today!

New York City Pilot – Sunday, April 30th
New York City – Friday, July 21st
Toronto – September 2nd or September 3rd pending venue availability
San Francisco – November 18th or November 19th pending venue availability
    Chicago - TBD
    London – TBD

Some of the participants have provided their comments on the pilot event, please see below.

“I am so impressed! Thank you for all your hard work – this was a very successful event. I am going to tell all my friends and family about it.”

“I think the event was well organized, and with Vaheguru's grace, the event went very well. Thanks a million.”

“It was really fun, you did a great effort, please organise it again. As you stated repeatedly, marriage should not be the sole motive as I made some great friends tonight.”

“Great opportunity, so glad to meet fellow Gursikhs. Hope we can do it again.”

“Overall, a very nice event that should continue. Thanks for all the hard work.”

“Fantastic idea! Actually, it is a great idea, but it was also great in practice. You did a phenomenal job tonight and the seva you are providing is priceless.”

“I had fun…met great guys. Thanks for conducting this and hope you will organize more meetings.”

“Job very well done! I would definitely come again. Thank you.”

“Excellent! Many of us talked about doing something like this as it is so needed in our community, so thank you so much for coordinating. It’s been a great experience. Please continue this seva and I will continue coming till I find her!”

At the end of the day, Sanjogaan Dee Gul Hai, but GurSikhSpeedMeeting can help, so we hope to see you!!

To request further information and/or register, please send an email to and specify the location of interest.

    Thank you and Guru Fateh!!
