"What is that word, what is that virtue, and what is that magic mantra? What are those clothes, which I can wear to captivate my Husband Lord? Humility is the word, forgiveness is the virtue, and sweet speech is the magic mantra. Wear these three robes, O Sister, and you will captivate your Husband Lord." (SGGS, 1384)

Welcome to the SikhNet Discussion Forum
In the Sikh tradition, there is a rich tapestry of history, music, culture, philosophy, theology, mysticism and spiritual discipline. The SikhNet Discussion Forum is a moderated place for Sikhs to come together and educate themselves through constructive and inspiring discussion.

As a moderated discussion area, the forum operates under certain guiding principles. It is important that discussions on SikhNet remain constructive, positive and open. SikhNet Discussion was formed with the interests of the general community in mind, particularly our youth. The aim is to free individuals from the clutches of ignorance by bringing information on Sikhi in this Aquarian Age to the masses, and by encouraging open, friendly discussion.

When we first started this forum, it was unmoderated and open to all, in hopes that people would use this medium wisely. But over time, the discussion area to a large degree became a platform for political contention, arguments and personal grandstanding. In order to create a virtual space of tolerance and openness, every post is evaluated based on the policy and guidelines listed below. Participants are welcome to re-submit rejected posts after revising their language to match the grace of this forum.
Please review all guidelines before submitting your posts. All discussion posts will be approved by moderators before being displayed on SikhNet to the public. Moderators reserve the right to not approve a post for display if it does not follow the discussion guidelines. Generaly it will take anywhere from a few hours to a few days to approve the posts.

"Human beings are the only creatures that have the ability, through the power of the spoken word, to raise another person's consciousness to the level of Infinity. Communication is not meant to be a win or lose situation. It is meant to share what our spirit is, what Infinite Truth is, what God is." - Siri Singh Sahib Habhajan Singh Khalsa
