We are currently in talks with various Television channels (In the USA and India) that have Sikh/Punjabi audiences about showing SikhNet video content as part of a program to help inspire people. Two channels in India are already wanting to give us a dedicated daily spot for SikhNet videos. Video for TV generally requires a high quality standard, so we are trying to upgrade our equipment so that we will be at that higher standard and keeping up with the technology (High Definition TV). As we do more educational videos for online and for Television in India and the USA we have to Needed to have a more professional lighting for educational videos and photoshoots.

• Video Editing Computer - This will be used for video editing and processing the many SikhNet videos for use on the web, TV, DVD, etc. Video editing of High Definition video (HD) requires a very fast computer, so a new computer is needed in order to do this.

• Professional HD Digital Video Camera - This is one of the main things that we need to be able to record high quality video.
• Video/Photo Studio Lighting - (Backgrounds, microphones, video lights)
• 60 GB Digital Video Recorder - This is needed to save time so that right after something is recorded the video can be edited. In order for us to do daily programs for TV we have to be able to record and edit quickly. Normally with regular DV video tapes you have to capture (download) the video from the tape which is done in real-time. So an hour of video recording will take an hour to capture to the computer. With this device the video is already on a hard disk and can just be copied in minutes.
• Pro Digital Camera - Canon EOS 40D - We are constantly trying to keep up with the latest technology so that we can provide the best quality images for use on SikhNet and elsewhere. We are also building a large library of photographs related to Sikhi, which could be use for education and promotion. This is really needed as a resource to counter the mis-understanding of Sikhs in the media. Currently there are very few photographs of Sikhs that are available online, and we hope to change this.
• Camera Lens - Canon 10-22mm Lens - This is an extra wide angle lens which will help in capturing different types of images related to Sikhi.
