          The Even Handed Bhai Kanhaiya
Bhai Kanhaya was blessed with such a kind and charitable disposition that he did not see any difference between friend and foe. In the battlefield, he served water to wounded Turks with the same generosity as he served it to his own soldiers, and gave practical shape to the words of the Gurbani: “Na koi bairi, na hi begana, sagal sang hum ko ban aai” (enmity to none, friendship for all). When someone complained of this to the Guru, Bhai Kanhaya said that he saw none but the Guru himself in everyone. SikhNet salutes Bhai Kanhaya, a pioneer of the sacred tradition of selfless service on the 300th anniversary of his death.
