Yogi Bhajan spoke these words as a reminder that each of us has a sacred responsibility to bless the planet during our lifetime, and to leave it a better home for the generations to come.
The legacy that he leaves is a testimony to the power that a human being can manifest in one life. Over a period of more than 35 years, he taught over 10,000 times. His mission never changed - to bring peace, prosperity, and unity to everyone. His words have always been simple and straightforward.
"My job is to share knowledge with you. Your job is to practice, to experience the knowledge so that it may become your knowledge."
Yogi Bhajan was a beloved friend and counselor to thousands because he spoke directly to the soul, the spirit of each of us that links us all.
"First, see where God is in you. Second, see where God is in the
other person. Then connect the God"
His wisdom will stand the test of time and space, because he lived the truths that he spoke, and because those truths are universal and nonjudgmental, beyond race or religion. He expressed his love for every aspect of God's creation.
He leaves to each of us “a priceless way of life, a destiny, a distance that can be traveled by everybody and experienced within a lifetime." We can experience his gifts in our daily lives as we practice the healthy, happy, and holy lifestyle he taught. His spirit is within us when we choose to live, moment by moment, in the excellence he always reminded us was our birthright.
"If God could have created anything better than you, He would have… You don't have to realize God and you don't have to realize Infinity; all you have to do is realize yourself."
As we remember, with every breath, to see God in all and to live for each other, our light will shine brightly, and we will create legacies to enrich and bless our world.
