Description:
Right now, we (the Guru Gobind Singh Children's Foundation) is trying to hold a Sikh Story Writing Contest (view details on http://sikhstorycontest.250free.com). Right now the main priority is to bring about awareness of this project, and that is why we are asking the sangat on sikhnet.com to help us out by making posters.
Goals:
We need posters, banners, or fliers, at as many gurdwaras, Khalsa libraries, Sikh shops, Sikh websites, search engines etc in as many provinces, states, countries, and continents as possible! And before January!!
Needs:
We are asking that people please make posters to put up at their local gurdwaras, with the following information printed/written on:
----------------------------------------
If you like to write, now is your chance to do something worthwhile with your talents. Simply write a short, English story, based on any Sikh event or person from Sikh history and submit it to [email protected] BEFORE December 10th, 2005, for a chance to get published in an anthology. See details on our website: www.sikhstorycontest.cjb.net
---------------------------------------------
The wording on the poster does not have to be exactly as shown above, just so long as all of the given information is there. You can also help out by putting a link to our contest on your website, putting our link on a search engine for us, or by any other advertising means you can think of. Please note that this contest is for a good cause, as all of the money raised from the sale of the anthology (published with the winning entries) will go towards charity. so we would VERY much appreciate any help we can get with this project. If you have an questions, or if you would like to help out in some other way, you can contact me at [email protected] OR at [email protected]. |

About Paneet K G:
Me and a friend are running this project under the Guru Gobind Singh Children's Foundation (www.ggscf.com) which is an official, non-profit charity.
This is my first time organizing anything like this. Unfortunatly it is hardly a success so far, since we aren't getting much help - which is why I'm posting here :) I hope you guys can help out! |
