You must not misunderstand life. If you do not understand the basic laws of nature, it doesn’t matter what you do, you will not prosper. Prosperity is an intercourse between time and space. It is not individual. The intercourse of time and space creates the impact of prosperity.
Prosperity has two aspects, reality and non-reality. When prosperity is in non-reality, you seek destruction. When it’s a reality, you seek construction and furtherance of your importance.
Both ways there is one law which cannot be denied. In human energy, we are achievers. And with every achievement comes equal boredom; that’s the law. You know how to achieve, but you cannot continue achieving because you do not know what to do with the other side of the coin, which is boredom.
In boredom you destroy, and that is what achievement is. Actually, achievement is boredom, only the name is different. Don’t misunderstand this. It’s a basic reality, its maya. Going beyond maya, you will find that when you achieve something, it is achieved. Beyond it there is nothing and “nothing” is boredom. You can’t move; no movement means boredom. You become “shunia,” you become unmovable. And that is what causes the energy to reach zero. You do not know how to get out of it. The simple key to prosperity is to widen the horizon.
Now, winter comes. Winter is winter. It is cold, it is freezing. But winter has a definition in it, the invitation of spring. If you do not let winter complete itself, spring cannot come. Learn from New Mexico. Sometimes winter gets extended too long, and we lose all the spring buds and the flowers of the fruit. Winter must complete itself and must not extend itself more than it is required, so spring can come. And when spring comes, it’s definite that it will ripen to the point that summer will come. When summer comes, it is definitely followed by a fall - boredom. And then the cold, cold, reality of winter arrives once again. That’s how the seasons are.
How can we overcome this cycle of nature? You shall never lose prosperity if you act with what is called “dedication”. Today you have dedicated your businesses to Infinity, and you have anchored them to the Guru so that God shall come through. You have done something which I have not seen in my 58 years. You have done it as a community. You have set a tradition so that you, your children, and your grandchildren shall always be prosperous, no matter what. What you have done today is not a creative experiment. It is a creative realization. And this creative realization shall continue to bring you to the point where your expansion will not be limited at all. When horizons are limited, only then is space and time measured. Infinity is when you cannot measure time and space.
When we dedicate ourselves to the Guru, we go beyond ourselves. There cannot be any boredom, because our dedication will not let things come to a limit. There is no boredom in unlimitedness. There is no boredom in infinity. Boredom shall hit you when things are defined.
You say, “This is ‘my’ prashad,” even though it is Guru’s prashad. You eat it, matter ends. But if you take prashad and say, “It is a gift given to me from the Guru,” and take a little bit for yourself, and give the rest to the two or three people, you have extended it. Every achievement should continue to be extended. That is the principle to follow in order to avoid defeat, poverty, and destruction.
Most people live to serve their habits; only a small percentage of people have habits which serve them. In this principle of happiness, be careful. If your habits are there to serve you and survive you, exalt you, and make you excel, you shall be successful here and hereafter. But if you serve your habits, you will be unsuccessful here and hereafter.
