| Insurers are going to take a huge hit. Bubbles are popping before the big bubble actually pops. But I feel economy's like India are isolated from US's subprime woes. But, that does not mean that India will be a 'Treasure Island'. India has its own set of woes. What is actually spreading is inflation. High Oil prices have a cascading effect. And its expected that Oil will hit $ 140 before receding to $ 120 levels. But Oil will remain high. People had predicted that Indian Rupee would go down to Rs. 37 to a Dollar. But oil has changed all that and today Rupee is trading at Rs. 42+ and will in all probability end the year at Rs. 41+. And in the last month Dollar is rallying against other currencies. Gold too is going to go up. |
