| Like I said I'll momentarily return if there is something wild and whacky. Two objectives for the Lion surname. One I feel was to infuse bravery, because as we know Guru Gobind Singh Ji was pained to witness the cowardice in Indian Society and the second I feel was to make a caste less Society. Lions are considered to be brave. What else does the word lionhearted signify? In various civilizations Lion is a symbol of bravery. In India Lion is the symbol of bravery. In Buddhism lion is symbol of achieving Budhahood. India's national symbol has lions on it facing in different directions. And also bear in mind that ‘this Lion’ has no prejudices , for or against, any other animals like other religions. The surname Singh means Lion but the Lion is not a holy animal in Sikhism. And I think Guru Gobind Singh Ji's Singhs have proved beyond any doubt that they are lionhearted and merit being lionized.
