Today the Net is full of Papers and books on Sikhism.
I’d request all Sikhs before you pick up the pen and write on Sikhism please think have you done the Darshan of Guru Granth Sahib Ji ? Because it’s only after this Darshan that one should consider oneself as competent to write on Sikhism

Once one does Darshan of Guru Granth Sahib which is Khulaa Paath and tries to understand the message one will not be writing on Sikhi with half baked knowledge. Also today many Authors do a Computer Search and pick up lines from Bani that suit their article.

Also it’s my sincere request please do not use writing on Sikhism as a way to make money or become popular. I myself at one time used to write New Year Letters to my relatives and friends and these letters did contain religious material, and so you can say this is a request from a reformed culprit. I'm not qualified to write books or articles even today and in those days I feel was absolutely unqualified.... you can say 'gawaar' or illiterate.

In the beginning of this year I was thinking of penning a book titled 'Sahib Mera Eko hai' , but I postponed doing so as I feel I've still got a lot the learn.

Its also the duty of Sikh to be careful about what they read. Please try to find out more about the Author before picking up a book on Sikhi. Today there are many books that are aimed at creating doubts in the readers minds on Sikhi.

Here also I had a very bad experience. I was handed a book by one of Prithi Chand's descendants from Har Sahai and I read a few pages and I kept cursing myself for reading the few pages for months. I should not have read a book given to me by this individual. Check the Author or if someone is recommending the book please do gauge for yourself his or her motive.

Jaagte raho (stay awake) ...be choukana (alert).
