| SSA Everybody, I was seeking a legal advice regards a dispute with my previous employer. I came to U S 2 years back and was working for a desi consulting firm who was very unethical in his dealings and as such I left him and joined another consulting firm. My previous employer didn’t give me my final paycheck when I left, though I abided by all his policies and had good relations with his clients. I requested him several times to pay my final paycheck but he didn’t payed any heed to that. After a while I gave up requests and complained to Department of Labor, who pursued my case and asked the defunct guy to pay…. but he jumped that also and now my case is in attorney general’s office. I was wandering if anybody has similar stage or some legal experience can help me guide through process as what my options are and does it makes sense to persue further as attorney general’s office will sue him once I give them a go ahead. I have been persuing this not only because of money, but also because of the way he talked to me when I left and his unethical behaviour. It is more of a matter of honour and Principals. Thanks.. |
