Firstly DHA containing pure fish oils do not have a fishy odour especially when its in a capsule form.
Also where is your information based upon stating that DHA containing pure fish oils are 'raw and stable and active.
Fish Oil is heat damaged and oxidized and so of poor quality.'

???

Why is Flax Seed Oil NOT Superior?

Well from the experts at the

The Omega-3 Information Service

Concerning DHA (of which my root article is based upon)....

Restoring the Balance

Government experts have recognised that we should not increase the amount of omega-6 we eat, and that we should double the amount of omega-3. This is best done either by eating more oil-rich fish, or by taking fish oil or cod liver oil supplements.

The two major members of the omega-3 group are known as EPA (eicosapentaenoic acid) and DHA (docosahexaenoic acid). Both are found in oil-rich fish like sardine, mackerel, pilchard, herring and salmon - in fish oil and in cod liver oil. Although the cod itself is not a good source of omega-3s, its liver provides excellent supplies of both EPA and DHA.

What about Vegetarians?

A less valuable type of omega-3, called alpha-linolenic acid, can be obtained from vegetarian sources - oils found in linseed (flaxseed), rapeseed and walnuts for example - but in order to be useable by the body, it must first be converted to the fishy types EPA and DHA. A high intake of the omega-6s can interfere with this conversion process.

Fish Oils are best

Oil-rich fish and fish oil supplements are the best and most readily available sources of omega-3 EPA and DHA. The majority of trials have been conducted using either fish oil or cod liver oil supplements and further evidence has come from studies of fish-eating populations such as the Japanese and Greenland Inuits.
