For the past 15 years, the sangat of Mexico City has hosted an annual event in honor of Guru Ram Das. Sangat members from as far away as Guadalajara and Villahermosa would come to participate in the most beautiful and elevating time of the year to reaffirm their relationship with the 4th Guru. It is only natural that our annual Lord of Miracles Tour in Honor of Guru Ram Das would also be a part of this celebration.

The Lord of Miracles class in Mexico was illumined by the people who have such a desire to expand themselves.

Located south of Mexico City near the pueblo of Almecameca and in the shadow of the 2 great volcanoes Popocatepeptl and Ixtlaxiguatl, Ixta is private land surrounded by giant blue corn fields. This sacred land once belonging to the indigenous tribes of centuries ago and is the home for the Guru Ram Das Weekend. More than 500 people from all over come to spend 3 days to attend Gurdwara, practice yoga, meditate, eat healthy vegetarian food, attend the healing fair and have a direct personal relationship with the Lord of Miracles, Guru Ram Das. It is a very blessed and special gathering of people from all faiths, cultures and diversity.

Bhai Sahiba Bibi Inderjit Kaur spoke lovely words to the Sangat in Mexico about her life with the Siri Singh Sahib (Yogi Bhajan) and about Guru Ram Das Ji who is the Lord of Miracles.

The flight from La Paz, Bolivia took 14 hours to reach Mexico City where we were met by S.S. Jai Hari Singh. From there we drove 2 hours to Almecaca and gladly retired for the night. The next morning, all of us met for breakfast and were astounded by the awesome beauty of the environment. During the day we met with most of the people attending and that evening we gave the Lord of Miracles Lecture and Bibiji as well addressed the sangat as the wife of Yogi Bhajan. By evening’s end we danced bangara until our legs gave out.

The Sangat listens and becomes absorbed while the Bhai Sahiba speaks to over 400 people.

The following morning after the most beautiful Asa Di Var, the entire camp participated in the Gurdwara where the shabads of Guru Ram Das were played and chanted. The Bhai Sahiba gave a wonderful talk on the pillars of Sikhism: bana, bani, simran and seva. After the Gurdwara so many people approached Bibiji to ask for her blessings and to speak to her. It was a very inspiring weekend.

The following photographs and their captions will give you an insight into our 9th country in the 4th Lord of Miracles Tour in Honor of Guru Ram Das. After 25 hours Ram Das Singh and myself boarded our Aeromexico flight to return to South America and Lima Peru

Jap Ji Kaur, S.S. Gurubachan Singh and Sat Bachan Kaur have their picture taken in front of a volcano called the "lying lady" outside Mexico City.
