GURMAT CAMP II was held at Tagi Tagi Gurudwara Sahib, Fiji Islands, from 5th. to 9th. May 2008.

It was organized by S. Dalabar Singh on behalf of the Gurudwara Prabhandak Committee. Gyani Gurbachan Singh, Gyani Manmohan Singh, Bhai Harbhajan Singh and S. Dalabar Singh conducted the sessions starting from 5.00 am to 8.00pm each day.

The day started with Japji Sahib recital by Gyanis with explanation and followed by Kirtan and Katha. Sessions included lectures on discipline, moral values and Sikh Maryada; Gurmukhi language teaching; Gurmat and Guru Ithihas; Gurbani Shabads and Vyakhya; Khalsa Panth and Sikh History after Guru Gobind Singh Ji; the Prominent Sikhs and their contributions worldwide.

The participants also did seva in preparation of langar during the day. They were given time for physical activity like Kaar Seva and sports.

In the evening Rehraas Path was done by Gyanis followed by Kirtan / Music Class.

The participants had the opportunity to ask questions on anything related to Sikhism and this was of great interest to them.

In this camp we had a few elder Sikhs who participated very well.

On the last day we had Power Point presentation covering many aspects of Sikhism from Guru Nanak Dev Ji to present day.

In the Video Session we had videos of S. Guruka Singh Khalsa, namely “Bana and Sikh Identity”, on “Meditation #1- Using your Breath” and “Your Mind & Gubani”. These are excellent videos.

On the whole the two Camps, so far conducted, have been very successful and we plan to continue with such camps in the School Holidays ahead.

I take this opportunity to thank our Brothers and Sisters throughout the world for their appreciation and support shown after our first camp in January this year.

    Wahe Guru Ji Ka Khalsa
    Wahe Guru Ji Ki Fateh
