I have a question....obviously it is good to keep in shape and be healthy. but nowadays, it is considered to be 'good' to have the 'six - pack' stomach and the toned arms, but i was wondering if this is good as it is changing what God has given us....yet on the other hand it could be argued that you are enhancing yourself to look and feel better...but couldnt that be considered in relation to putin on make - up and removin the hair of ur face as enhancing what God has given us.( making more beautiful what God has already given us??).
Just enquiring...hope I havent offended anyone....

Thankyou.

Sat Sri Akal,

Exercise is good, it keeps one's body healthy so that he/she can use it to meditate, help others and live a pious life. If one's body was so wasted by lack of energy that he or she had difficulty breathing, then how would that person meditate or help others? Therefore, exercise is good and encouraged.

Now, if the motivation to exercise is not to stay healthy, but to get this awesome body out of pure vanity so that other people will like it, then that is not good.

Gur Fateh,
HSD
