Hi. thanks for answering my question, but i just wanted to point one thing out. In almost every public school, or even christian school, there are going to be problems. Just because it's a christian school, doesn't mean there can't be a drug scene there, but it's probably highly unlikely, so I get your point. However, I now two families that go there that are Sikh. They are all girls. Two of the girls used to wear a patka on their head, had kept their hair, and wore very appropriate clothes. Their parents were also very strict about following Sikhi Guidelines. Their parents were also baptised as Sikhs. The other girl also was good, she went to the guruduwara a lot and did sewa. She also kept her hair. The year they went to the Christian School, all three girls changed a lot. The first two girls cut their hair and started wearing skirts,(the uniforms require wearing a skirt, you can also wear pants, but they wore skirts). I never see them at the guruduwara any more. And their parents were so strict. The other girl also cut her hair. What I'm trying to say is that these girls parents were so strict, they were really involved in their religion, perhaps under their parents pressure, but still, they started to become like those people there. My parents aren't really strict. My dad cuts his hair, but my mom still respects our religion. It's kind of like, if you don't walk with your back straight, you slowly start developing a hunchback. So if everyday you talk about christianity, it slowly starts leaking into you. I mean those girls were into their religion way more than I am, but it changed them. I'm not saying Christianity, the Reigion is bad, but their culture doesn't mix in with ours. Plus I understand between 13-18 you can make a lot of dumb decisions. So, I definitely don't want to go there. Plus, when you go out into the world, I doubt you are going to be involved with people that are always the same, and so disciplined, but are going to be involved with people from different cultures, backgrounds, attitudes. At the Christian School, the majority of people will be christian and so disciplined, whereas in the Public School, I'll meet different types of people, and learn to get along with them. In highschool, I will keep up with my religion, I don't mind being unique, but don't want to be so different. I want to be able to share my views. And if i do that there, perhaps some might get offended, cause it's a CHRISTIAN school. I want to fit in a little. btw, i live in brampton, ontario, you asked in last post. So can you write a response I can show my dad, so he sees someone else's opinion and perhaps doesn't send me there.

(REPLY) Sat Nam. I think you have made the best case for yourself with what you have written above, and I suggest you show it to your dad, and perhaps that will convince him! You sound quite sensible, and very determined to maintain your Sikh values, and I definitely respect that. In my previous response I was just trying to point out some of the reasons why I imagine your dad wants you to go to the Christian school, but it seems to me you have valid reasons and good motivation to go to the public school. Meanwhile, how about doing a special meditation every day, and pray for what is BEST for you to happen! (I usually call on Guru Ram Das when a "miracle" is needed! (DHAN DHAN RAM DAS GUR, JI SIRIA TINEH SAVAARIA...) God bless you, and Guru guide you always, SP
