I love the reply given by the moderators to the question brought up about "true love". True love is what our guru's had with us, jesus had with his people and allah with his and so on...Between humans (who arent as perfect as God) true love is VERY often (emphasis on the very!)mistaken for physical affection or lust and convenience. In my views, "true love" is a combination and a balance between physical attraction, emotional compatibility and the ability to sacrifice your needs for the other person UNCONDITIONALLY. I can speak only of my experience, I have true love, my husband and I love each other, do anything for each other, and miss each other when apart. We don't look outside of each other for affection or strength or anything. We rely on each other to complete whats missing in us. He is great! I can say that we together rely on God to complete what we can't for each other. I think thats the best way to do it, its worked for us. WE are newly wed (1 yr) but we couldn't imagine divorcing each other or committing adultery or simply staying together for reasons such as "Farz". Our farz is to make the marriage work, keep our love safe and strong, complete our farz to our guru. ITs important for a couple in "love" to have a compatible level of spirituality and sometimes the same faith. I don't consider myself mature, i consider myself a seeker and a student in process of maturation. I wonder if others agree with my concept of true love?
