Summary of Question:	Sikh Dinner Prayer

Sat Sri Akaal, We would like to pray before we eat at the dinner table. For the last 5 years, we say a few words in english thanking Wahe Guru and then we all say Wahe Guru Ji ka Khalsa ..............Bole So Nihaal. I would like to know if there is an ardaas we can do (in english, we have mixed family) before we have our meals.

Sat Siri Akaal. There is no set prayer for this purpose. What you are doing sounds fine to me. Such a prayer should come from the heart and not just be a ritual of words said each time. What is key is being thankful and blessing the food (through prayer) so that a positive vibration is created for mealtime.
