Why can't Sikh's smoke, cut their hair, only take prescribed drugs, drink alcohol, fight or eat meat?

(REPLY) Sat Nam. You must be very new to this site if you are asking these very fundamental questions. However, the fundamental reason that we do certain things, and avoid others is because our Guru wisely gave us guidelines so that we can live righteously, according to God's will, be healthy and not pollute our bodies and destroy our minds. You are misinformed if you think we can't fight. I don't know where you got that idea. Sikhs are known for their courage in battle! One term applied is "warrior/saints." Sikhs fight in self-defense, and not as an agressor. You can research more about any of these topics by checking on this site for more details. SP
