Waheguru ji ka Khalsa,. Waheguru ji ki Fateh!

I remember a while back my Punjabi teacher said something about a Guru Ji changing Gurbani. It was a part about "Miti Muslman" I think, in order to please Emporer Aurangzeb. I forgot which Guru Ji. I dont understand why he would do this, because aren't gurus supposed to be like "perfect". Thanks.

(Additional reply): It was Ram Rai a Guru's son who was deputed to explain to the King and he tried this. On hearing of this, the Guru asked him never to show his face to Guru. To date Ramraia's are not considered Sikhs & they have their own sect based in Dehradun, which was gifted to them by Aurangzeb for their betrayal. DK

(REPLY) Sat Nam. I believe that what your Punjabi teacher told you was that one of the sons of one of Gurus changed a word to please the Emperor. It was NOT a Guru who did that. As I recall the story, the Guru was so horrified by what his son had done, that he refused ever to see him again. I suggest you go back to your teacher and confirm the story. Blessings, SP
