Guru Nanak didn't "start" Sikhism. He simply spoke Truth, that he had experienced. The people who heard him teach the meaning of life and wanted to live according to the Universal Truth that he shared, became his students or "Sishyas" and from that came the word "SIKH." As those Sikhs lived and shared the Guru's message with other, the religion evolved and spread. SP
