hi! erm, how does sikhism affect the way children grow up in later life? I mean does sikhism affect a sikhs child perspective on diversity and equality?

Thanx

(REPLY) Sat Nam. Hopefully, a child raised with true Sikh values will grow up to accept and respect people of all races, genders, and religions, recognizing that each person has a right to follow his or her own path -- and at the same a Sikh appreciates the blessing that he or she, as a Sikh has been given to walk the path our Gurus laid down for us. Diversity is a fact of life. God created each individual as unique and special, yet spiritually, well, God lives and breathes in everyone Though different people manifest that inherent divinity to a greater or lesser extent, still, human rights for everyone need to be respected. Ideally, a child raised with Sikh values will be a valuable member of any community, a champion of religious freedom, and a bove all a kind an courageous, compassionate person of faith. SP
