Summary of Question:	See And Hearing From Dead Relatives

Hello, I have asked a question before and received a very enlightening answer. However I have a few more to ask. I have spoken to a number of people who have told me about experiences involving seeing or hearing from dead relatives. My question is if we are to reincarnate then how is it that some people see or hear from the dead relatives when in a state of meditation?

Also as the possibility of life on other planets become more plausible, is it possible that if the universe is created by God then when we die, and reincarnate, then is it not possible that we may reincarnate on another planet, as a completely different species. Because I know the GGS makes reference to countless numbers of planets in countless solar systems, so could it be possible that we would have at one point been existing on these other planets?

(REPLY) Sat Nam. What you are asking about are theories, conjectures, opinions. Personally I think that what is important is to live one's life in such a way that upon the soul leaving the body, it will not have to return, and it will merge with Akal - the great undying Self. Meditation or dreams? When people have dead relatives come to them it may or may not be that the relative is still earth bound, and that's not desirable! Or it may be simply the workings of the subconscious, a wishful thinking. People can get very lost in speculating about these things and I personally think time on Earth is so precious it would be better spent reciting and repeating God's Name, which is our primary and only instruction from our Shabd Guru: JAAP! Yes, there are other worlds, but we are here now. Let's make the world a better place for our having lived and breathed on Earth! SP
