Hello,

First of all congrads on your engagement and successfull relationship. Many people date and never get to where you guys are now. I hope you realize what a accomplishment that is for you two. Next, you should be comfortable with yourself. Calm down, relax and realize you are gift to his family just like he is a gift to yours. Unless you have big doubts about fidelity and your security. Whatever made your relationship come this far will make your relationship work as a marriage. Ofcourse when married, theres more involved like families. I think one of the obstacles in marriage is learning and following the subculture of the new family. Every family does things different, right? You will soon realize that if you haven't already. TO be on the safe side, always speak with your husband or mother in law or sis-in law about how they do things on certain occasions. KNow what is expected of you. In joint families doing housework (cooking, cleaning etc) doesn't always fall on the daughter-in-law. So find out what's expected of you, then tell yourself I CAN DO IT. No one has to be perfect, i am sure they will appreciate you atleast trying everything once. No one gets better without practice. IF its of any comfort, not every girl is made for kitchen and house work. Some men do that easily then women. It varies from person to person. Whatever fears or concerns you have share them with your fiance, who knows he may hold your answers. Marriage is more work then just dating. Its about sacrifice, putting the others needs first, working mutually. Above all, Waheguru is there, don't forget that. GOOD LUCK!
