Summary of Question:Visualization Of Guru's When Reciting "Aad Gur Nameh, Jugad Gur Nameh . . . "

I have been reciting a shabad for protection and need some clarification in regards to visualization.

Daily, I recite "Aad Guray Namay, Jugaad Guray Namay, Sat Guray Namay, Siri Guru Devay Namay". When reciting, I visualize Guru Nanak on my right side, Guru Angad in the rear, Guru Amardas on the left, and Guru Ram Das in front.

Someone recently asked a question on this forum and they were advised to also recite this shabad. However, after carefully reading what the directions were, I saw that it was the exact same shabad, except that the orientation of the Guru's positions’ was reversed!

This is what the directions read as:
"Aad Guray Namay, Jugaad Guray Namay, Sat Guray Namay, Siri Guru Devay Namay" whilst visualizing Guru Nanak above you and to your left, Guru Angad above you and behind, Guru Amardas Ji above and on your right and lastly Guru Ram Das Ji above and in front of you.

My set of directions says to visualize Guru Nanak on your RIGHT side, whereas the second set says to visualize Guru Nanak on your LEFT side.

Is the circle of protection clockwise or counter-clockwise? Do I start with Guru Nanak on my LEFT side or my RIGHT side??? I am sure that there is a difference. This is a very powerful circle of God’s energy and I want to ensure that I am reciting and performing the shabad properly.

Which is correct:
Guru Nanak Right side
Guru Angad Behind
Guru Amar Das Left Side
Guru Ram Das Front

OR

Guru Nanak Left side
Guru Angad Behind
Guru Amar Das Right Side
Guru Ram Das Front

Many thanks!!!

Interestingly enough, Siri Singh Sahib Ji taught this both ways. In the 70's we learned it in way one above. Later on, he taught it the other way. I still do it way one... since day one... <g> and have experienced its power over and over.

Actually, it does not matter. Do whichever way works for you. It is very powerful.
