sat sri akal ji.

First ofall kudos to all of u at sikhnet. Have been following ur site for a long time and in it fantastic what u do.Even watched ur vcd produced.

For a couple yrs back like from the age of 14+ to just recently, (m now 18), i have been n avid follower of skihism. Loved doing my daily paath and always felt that Waheguru ji was within me and was by my side all the the time. But recently i felt detached from sikhi and guruji. I think it is my laziness or something but i dont feel the magic that i used to feel when doing paath. I longer feel the warmth if u know wad i mean. n it is ironic cause my family astaken a more religious route recently. we have a prayer room with SGGSji parkash everyday and prayer time in the evening. Parents took amrit and my whole family is vegetarian except for me. My family really advocates sikhi yet at the same time giving me my space. I have alot to be thankful for but just dunno why i seem o put up my own barrieir against getting close to Waheguru ji. n i m painfully aware of it.

Have always believed the an individual must find his/her on truth abt religion and then he/she can fully accept nd follow it M now i m lost. Love my religion and its techings but lack the pasiion?? is it my laziness to commit or ??? lost. any advice wld be most helpful.

thank u ji.

Sat nam. You asked "what do I do?" What you do is you just DO it. You fake it, you'll make it. You are describing the human condition. Many people experience such times in their lives.
You're 18, your hormones are still those of an adolescent (no offense meant) and that can mean passion where there wasn't any, and lethargy where there used to be passion, and then back again. This can affect your feelings about life and about Sikhi.
Chant the naam WITH YOUR FAMILY. You will be elevated. Ask them to make time with you to do this, maybe after evening meal, or just before. Chant for 30 minutes together, you won't believe how it makes you all feel. Keep up, don't expect thunder and lightning all the time. Guru is always there, have some faith. Guru ang sang,
