Sat Sri Akaal

While on a recent trip to Amsterdam for my cousins stag night we got round to the red light district and after some peer pressure and having consumed a considerable amount of alcohol I went with a girl.
By the way, I am married with 2 kids.
Now that I have returned back home - I feel that I know that I have done wrong as I would not normally do this.
Is there something I can do to make waheguru forgive me.
I have the utmost respect for for Sikhism as I take the family to the gurudwara at least once a week if possible.
A quick response would be much appreciated.

(REPLY) Sat Nam. Well, for one thing, stop drinking! Good grief! How long before you'll realize that alcohol weakens the brain (it also destroys the liver!) If you consider yourself a Sikh, then read your banis every day, and especially try to understand the purpose of life - by seriously studying Japji Sahib. You have made a stupid mistake. don't repeat it. And determine never to let anything like that happen again. You feel guilty, and rightly so, but you have to start by forgiving yourself, and that will only happen if you sincerely regret your actions -- regret it enough to from this moment forward, live your life righteously. Just taking your family to Gurdwara once a week is nice, but it sounds to me like a ritual, rather than an experience of the reality of the presence of Guru in your life, every minute of every day, and with every breath! I would also suggest that you chant DHAN DHAN RAM DAS GUR, JIN SIRIAA ... shabd. Guru Ram Das is the Lord of Miracles, and I think you need a miracle to turn your life around. Do it now.
