Hey...I would just like to comment about the sikhnet news article titled Sikh Girl Patrols Kabul Streets. This article makes the claim that the aforementioned Sikh Girl is the first to ever enlist in the US Army, and I would just like to say that this is factually innacurate in all facets. I know of atleast 3 Sikh women already serving the US Army, therefore this article unfairly makes a false claim. My mother happens to have been in the US army for over 15 years, therefore I am offended by the factual discrepencies in this article.

The point of this comment is not to take away from the Sikh Girl mentioned in the article, I just think that it is very unjust to wrongfully claim that ONLY one Sikh Woman is in the army. Please don't be offended by this post, as I am simply trying to correct an error in an article, not make imflammatory remarks.

Sat nam. There are bound to be several versions of that story on the internet, if you google it, and some of them will show the paper/author. It might be a wire service (AP) report, which will make it hard to correct. Good luck,
