Summary of Question:Bani For Forgiveness
Category:Other
Date Posted:Saturday, 11/08/2003 12:55 PM MST

My question is regarding forgiveness. Is there any particular Bani to recite in order to seek forgiveness in Waheguru's eyes? And, considering that you are wiser than I am, what would you recommend me to do if I want to be forgiven for my wrong actions? I am thinking that I am doomed forever because of my deeds and feel that I have lost my chance and right for happiness in the future and its turning me into a very pessimist person. Whenever I hope or pray for something, I'm reminded of my wrongful actions and I lose all hope of anything good in my future. Is their a specific path I can follow? Please advice.

Thanks a lot.

The Guru has said in so many places that we can always be forgiven and start our life new. The trick is to put our faith and mind in the Guru. There are some bani you can recite. The very first part of Japji is the Mulhmantra. Chanting it 11 times a day will change your fate to destiny. The Twentieth Pauri wipes away all your sins. The Thirty-eighth Pauri gives you the power to rewrite your own destiny. Chant these 11 times a day for the most powerful effect. Remember, you need to forgive yourself. While you are reciting these, have the intention (projected thought) that your are forgiving yourself. Guru has already forgiven you. You must overcome these feelings. You have too much to give to others to wallow in your self-hatred. Let us know how it goes. GTKK
