Hi, I hope you guys can provide some assistance to me. My situation is that I have not had the most pleasant of circumstances in my life, and I have made some wrong choices on top of that placing me at a point in my life where I have lost trust in myself to do what is best for me in the future and I also feel like I am very unlucky so things are not going to go well for me. I n my head I know that God wants me to do well but I just am not able to . What can I do to change my state of mind so I can turn my life around or is God intending me to feel this way to punish me or something?

Thanks for listening.

Sat Siri Akaal. We are all handed, from birth, a pattern of karmas to live through or cut through. Live your karma or your dharma. As Sikhs we have the tools and technology to cut through karma. Karma is not punishment; for every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction. It is a LAW. So, somehow in this or some other life, you earned this karma. How you respond to karma can add to it or subtract from it. If you want to cut through karma, become a Gursikh and practice the discipline of one. This means daily paath, daily naam simran, serving others selflessly, and living honestly. Practically every shabd in Siri Guru talks about meditation on the naam, or the life of one who does NOT meditate. Paath and naam simran are even better done with sangat. Find people to practice with and build this practice together.
Guru ang sang,
