This was one of the lines from the speech of President Obama on the eve of his Coronation as the President of USA. My question is why did not he mention about SIKHS. Is he ignorant about Sikh Religion? Does he thinks Hindus and Sikhs are same? This statement comes at a time when we have Dr Manmohan Singh,a proper Sikh as the Prime Minister of India.Do we still need to show the world that we as Sikhs are existing or are we still considered as a sect of Hinduism.This statement came as the Head line of a premier Indian English newspaper Times of India.We have Sant Singh Chatwal a prominent and prosperous Sikh in USA. Moreover the Sikh population has made a significant mark in all respectable feilds in USA then why does not the world acknowledges our unique existence.The population of Jews is same as that of Sikhs worldwide.
