Summary of Question:	Surname Of Chand Belongs To What Caste?

Hello. I am interested in possible marriage with an individual whose last name is Chand. My parents are hesitant as they are not familiar with this name and before proceeding, want to know historically what caste the name Chand belongs to, or is typically associated with. We are Jatt.

Any light you could shed on this matter would be appreciated.

I'm sorry but this site is not a good place to answer your question. We don't believe in the caste system and would not in any way support its continuation.
