Everyone - Waheguru Ji Khalsa, Waheguru ji ki Fathe

just a quick clarification - the Khalsa who wrote them original email - I congratualte you, keep looking and you will find!! (im sure you understand what I mean)

but just to give you all my taking and to re-affirm what the other response.

in a nut shell, in the days of Guru Nanak and Guru Angad dev ji, there were particularly 4 castes!

Brahmin
Kashatri (the warriors)
Vaish (something like that)
Sudhra (something like that)

Brahmins were allowed to recite and listen to bani (as such) kshatris were allowed to listen only, the other 2 were not allowed to listen or recite,

so bu guru ji taking on the janeau and showing every1 he belong to hinduism would have been wrong. as he would have been initiating himself to a religion, which had been corrupted (no offence meant) by castes and fake pandits etc etc so in the masters infinate wisdom, he knew not too.

Guru Gobind Singh ji - created Khalsa by giving amrit, amrit can be given to any1, and is creating a single identity, free of castes and other prejudices, SO THAT EVERY1 CAN PRAY TO THE LORD, AND BE EQUAL re-affirming that god is universally applicable, for every1.

the eternall message for everyone, from all the gurus, and the hindu devs and devtay and mohammed etc is:

is - ONE GOD, WHO IS FOR EVERYONE, thats why guru Nanak never took on the janaeu and guru giobind singh created amrit.

(REPLY) Sat Nam. This is a useful way of explaining it! Thanks. SP
