(REPLY) Sat Nam. All anyone can do is the best they can do. One way to be able to get up in the Amrit Vela is to be totally committed and determined to do so -- but you also need to go to sleep early enough, and pray before you go to bed to be able to get up in the morning. Do not eat anything within two hours of bedtime. I'm assuming that you recite Kirtan Sohila before sleep. Meanwhile, don't beat yourself up, but keep praying, keep trying. Just think about it this way: If you had to catch a train or a plane at an early hour, you would definitely make sure to wake up in time, wouldn't you? Or, if you had a date with your most beloved, you'd get up in time for that wouldn't you? Well, Amrit Vela is the time for meeting your soul, and catching that ride to the heavens! (Kind of poetic, but you get the idea!) May God bless you and Guru guide you in all ways. SP
