waheguru je ka khalsa, waheguru je ki fateh

my question is about K-Yoga. does it realy help you control the mind. i think i will look stupid if i do it before paath, because only wahegurus grace will get you mukti. if it does work and i do it. I think it will drive me away from our Guru's because then i will feel like we dont need their grace, because the techniques of getting your mind straight are available and we do not need to ask for their grace. Or ask them the power to do simran because their are yogic techniques which alow to you have a clear mind. If i do succed in basic kulandi techniques i will feel like i did it without the Guru or without asking for his help.

(REPLY) Sat Nam. Did it ever occur to you that it is Guru's grace that Kundalini Yoga is available? If you have a disease, you go to a Doctor, does that mean you don't have faith in Wahe Guru to heal you? No, of course not. (Ultimately is is God, working THROUGH the doctor to diagnose and prescribe!) God has provided many ways and means to help us creatures. Kundalini Yoga is a sacred science, and does not conflict in any way with being a Sikh. We need help in many areas of our lives, and ultimately, we can do NOTHING without God's help. A person may say, "Oh, I want to do this on my own, with the strength of MY faith -- but isn't that the ego speaking? If there is a tool, a technique that will assist, enable, and enhance your ability to experience Guru more closely, then why reject it? I hope you will try KY, you have nothing to lose except your fear. Blessings, SP
